Association,
- Charles Dowding
-the leading exponent and auther of 'no-dig' gardening, Charles
runs courses from his farm in Shepton Montague in Somerset. The
site contains a wealth of useful information on vegetable growing.
- Grow
Organic -Independent
blog with news, interviews, help and loads of useful help for
anybody growing organic food, including how to do your own 'square
foot' garden.
- Rooster
Organic Fertilisers -Soil-Association
approved fertiliser from poultry farms, which follow the highest
standards of humane animal husbandry -use for multi-purpose feed
and soil conditioner. Rooster also produce organic lawn feeds.
- Shared Garden
- community garden project in Nottingham with an interest in
organic, bio-dynamic, healthy living.
- Tamar Organics
-an extensive supply of organic seeds and other organic gardening
supplies from Launceston in Cornwall.
- The Organic Gardening Catalogue -online suppliers of organic plants
seeds and bulds from Hersham in Surrey.
- Organic gardening groups
- Brighton
and Hove Organic Gardening Group
-a not-for-profit community organisation founded in 2001 to support
organic gardeners in Brighton and Hove. They organise a variety
of events throughout the year including garden visits, workshops,
plant swaps and seasonal celebrations.The group is funded by
membership fees and a small grant from the City Council.
- Gloucestershire
Organic Living Group
-founded in 1994, the group now meets monthly at Whiteway, between
Stroud and Birdlip. for the exchange of ideas and techniques
on organic gardening.
- Hampshire Organic Gardening Group -a gardening club which promotes organic
living and growing. activities include members exchange of ideas
and experience, a monthly programme of talks and entertainment,
seed and plant swap and gardening workshops.
- Heart
of England Organic Group
-a local group for people interested organic growing and food
in Coventry, Warwickshire, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield and the
surrounding areas. They organise a wide-ranging and interesting
programme of talks and visits on subjects connected with food,
health, environment and organic lifestyle.The Group is affiliated
to the Soil Association and Garden Organic at Ryton Gardens.
- Mid Somerset Organic Gardeners -otherwise known as 'Green Gardeners'
-organise a variety of events in Somerton.
- Shropshire Organic Gardeners -a group of enthusiastic organic gardeners
and small holders who meet once a month for talks, visits and
outings.
- Surrey
Organic Gardening Group
-meet in Carshalton for guest speakers on the last Friday of
each month; also organise trips, visits, seed swaps etc.
- West
Dorset Organic Gardening Group
-for people in West Dorset with a shared interest in Organic
Gardening. They run a variety of outings and activities, and
are affiliated to Garden Organic (Henry Doubleday Research Association).
